Winter Bonanza Recap: The Calgary 4-H Region Winter Bonanza was once again a great success! The amazing team of 10 youth leaders provided activities that kept our 60 campers busy all weekend. Camp started with some competitive small group challenges on Friday night. Saturday was spent in multiple sessions & games, such as outdoor cooking, crafts, ice skating, archery, learning to dance and more. We ended the day with the always popular dance party! There was even some competitive dancing, and video cameras came out to see who would win the dance-off! It was so much fun, and we can’t wait to see all our campers again next year.

 4-H on Parade Leader Meeting Dates: Jan 29/24 (virtual), Apr. 22/24 (Balzac Hall)

Calgary Region 4-H Horse Committee Meetings:  Jan 25/24, Mar 28/24, May 9/24

Regional Communications Competition: Mar. 23/24 at the Strathmore Rec Centre.

4-H on Parade: May 30-June 2/24. Please note that registration will be solely online this year.  Registration will open February 15, closing on April 1/24. All Calgary Region clubs that have representatives attending the planning meetings are eligible to participate

Every year we try to improve upon our guidelines. It is important that clubs and members check the website for the document every year so that you are aware of the most updated information.

2024 Calgary Regional Funspiel: February 19/24. Doors open at 8:30am

New this Year: Members & team Chaperones will be registering online through their online portal. Registration opened January 26/24 and closes at 11:59pm on February 9/24

Check Your Profile and Sign Your Online Forms Please

All members, leaders, volunteers, and supporters need to go online and ensure that your profile is correct, including your email address. As well, please ensure that you have signed the mandatory forms:

  • Code of Conduct
  • 4-H Demographic Information (you have the option to say “Prefer Not to Answer”)
  • Program Agreement (youth only)

You need to do this by January 30/24 in order to be considered “in good standing”.
February 16 -19/24: The 4-H Alberta Office is closed, and the staff are on holiday. We will all return to work on Tuesday, February 20, 2024
