Simone Demers-Collins started her 4-H journey as a member of the Legal 4-H Clothing Club, where she had the opportunity to hold every executive position, train as a junior leader as well as participate in every 4-H camp and competition that was available to her.
With such a strong foundation, Simone continued her educational journey achieving a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics from the University of Alberta. As a district home economist with Alberta Agriculture, Simone was not only a member of the 4-H Alumni Association, but a strong supporter of 4-H Clubs in the Vegreville, Athabasca, Thorhild, and Strathcona Counties. This continued throughout her career as she worked as a consultant with Alberta’s agricultural industries, the Hort Congress, the Alberta Farmers’ Market program, television, and radio.
With fewer career commitments, Simone is pleased to be joining the 4-H Alberta Board, and to assist the Alberta 4-H supporters in establishing a sound, supportive and educational program for today, tomorrow and into the future.
