AHS continues to have mandatory measures in effect province-wide. Restrictions will not be lifting too quickly and will be eased based on hospitalization benchmarks. The latest information from AHS is that restrictions will ease in steps spaced 21 days apart. On February 8, Alberta enters Step 1, which has no changes for 4-H Alberta Clubs, Districts and Regions. There are no indoor gatherings, including Community Halls and riding arenas. Outdoor gatherings are permitted to a maximum of 10 people.
The requirements in Alberta are ever-changing. 4-H Alberta has committed to follow the latest guidelines from Alberta Health Services directly. AHS continues to have mandatory measures in effect province-wide. Our team’s goal is to follow the regulations in place and provide clarity where needed relating to 4-H. We hear frustration from certain individuals regarding COVID-19 and virtual programming; however, because our members continue to participate at very high levels and provide positive feedback to our online offering, we will continue down this virtual path.
