Intro Clubs

Intro Clubs are a special, one-time 4-H program designed to give youth ages 9–15 a “Taste of 4-H.” Unlike traditional 4-H clubs, this short-term program gives participants the opportunity to explore a variety of projects and activities in a hands-on, fun, and supportive environment.

Through our “Learn to Do By Doing” approach, youth will try projects such as pottery, reptile adventures, watercolour painting, sourdough pizza making and more.* Each session encourages creativity, curiosity and critical thinking while helping youth build important life skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving and record-keeping; all while making new friends.

Intro Clubs Programs

Registering for the first time? Register as a guest. You do not need a 4-H membership or an ORS account to join your first Intro Club — choose Guest Registration and you are set.

Once that first registration is complete you are in the system. Any bonus events or further Intro Club opportunities later in the year can then be registered through the ORS using the regular member registration links.

How to Register for an Intro Club

Intro Club registration happens through 4-H Alberta’s online registration system. Before you start, have your child’s name and birthdate ready, along with a parent or guardian’s email address and phone number.

Tip: Setting up your child’s profile is easiest on a laptop or computer.

  1. Start a guest registration. Click Register as a Guest to open the registration site.
  2. Create a guest account for your child. Enter your child’s name and birthdate, so the programs you see match their age.
  3. Complete your child’s profile. Fill in every field, including electronic consent and medical and allergy information. All fields are required.
  4. Choose your program. Once the profile is saved, available programs will appear. On a phone, you may need to tap the menu (☰) in the top-right corner to find them. Then select your program.
