What is a 4-H Intro Club: During a 4-H Intro Club you experience the power of hands-on learning with our “Learn to Do By Doing” program and get a “Taste of 4-H”! Over five exciting weeks, youth aged 9-15 will explore a variety of 4-H projects at different locations, including: Food Science – experiments you can eat and drink, Righteous Gelato – a tour and tasting experience, Chocolate Experience led by Master Chocolatier Bernard Callebaut, Discovering the Horse: Miniatures to Majestics (includes riding) and Puppy Yoga. Each session sparks creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking while helping you develop new skills in a fun and interactive environment.

Not only will participants have fun, but they’ll also gain valuable skills such as running a business meeting, enhancing communication and record-keeping abilities, and making lifelong friends. Our unique projects and activities are designed to develop problem-solving, critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills in a supportive environment.

The club meets over five weeks, with six events starting April 30th from 6:30–8:30 PM at Canyon Meadows Community Association and concluding on May 28th at Dalhousie Community Association in NW Calgary. Please note that transportation to each location is the responsibility of parents or caregivers.

Upon registration, participants will receive access to all programming, special guest instructors, necessary supplies, tasty snacks, and a 4-H bag. Spaces are limited to 15 participants. Registration closes on April 21st or when the club is full. Cost is ONLY $120 per member. Don’t miss this opportunity for your child to explore, learn, and have fun!

*Workshops subject to change based on availability. List of workshops below.

Parent Involvement: Being part of 4-H means that your family will have opportunities to play, work and learn together. In this short six-week intro club, although not mandatory, we encourage parents/caregivers to choose one date that they could attend and support the club. Families will also be invited to attend the last hour of the final date for an achievement celebration.
