This 4-H Intro Club is designed for youth ages 9–15 and runs for six weeks on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings. The first five weeks run 6:30–8:30 pm, and the final evening is 6:00–8:30 pm. Wednesdays will always be held at Shepard Hall, while Tuesdays take place on location for our hands-on workshops. With a short commitment and a big impact, this program is perfect for busy families who want an “all-in-one” experience and a chance to discover what 4-H is all about.
During an Intro Club, youth experience the power of hands-on learning with our “Learn to Do By Doing” approach and get a true “Taste of 4-H.” Over six exciting weeks, participants will explore a variety of 4-H projects including: Food Science, Pottery, Horsemanship, Stumpcraft Puzzle Factory, Reptiles and Archery. Each session sparks creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking while helping youth build new skills in a fun and interactive environment.
Not only will participants have fun, but they’ll also gain valuable life skills such as running a business meeting, improving communication and record-keeping, problem-solving, and teamwork — all while making new friends in a supportive setting.
