For over three decades, Corine Verbeek has been a driving force in the development of the 4-H program, making an impact at club, district, regional, provincial, and national levels. As a strong believer in the 4-H motto, Corine encourages members and leaders to “learn to do by doing,” serving as a positive role model and leading by example.
With over 30 years as a leader with the RQB Racheros, Corine has initiated countless activities and influenced many members. She is passionate about honoring the past to guide present members and leaders into the future. The Sturgeon 4-H District has been fortunate to have her as their Key Leader, where her knowledge and personal contacts have proven invaluable in organizing events.
Corine has been involved in various roles at regional and provincial levels, including serving on Northwest Regional 4-H horse committees, initiating the Northwest Region “Horse Play” event, and helping to start the equine “Train the Trainer” program. She has also contributed to events such as the 4-H Alberta Leaders’ Conference, the Provincial Equine Advisory Committee (PEAC), and the Provincial Equine Leaders Forum (PELF) Conference.
Instrumental in organizing off-site tours at the 2017 Western Regional 4-H Leaders Forum, Corine’s willingness to lend a hand and her vision for success make her an invaluable asset to the 4-H community. Her passion and enthusiasm for the program ensure that working with her is always a pleasure.
