Westerose, AB – July 28, 2026 – 4-H Alberta Announces Organizational Restructuring to Strengthen Member Services
4-H Alberta is implementing a refreshed organizational structure designed to strengthen services for members and volunteers, improve consistency across the province and help position the organization for long-term sustainability.
As the needs of 4-H members, families and volunteers continue to evolve, the updated structure will allow the organization to place greater focus on member programming, volunteer development, youth leadership and responsive province-wide support.
“Our focus is simple: deliver the very best experience possible for every young person who chooses 4-H,” said Tracy Gardner, Chief Executive Officer of 4-H Alberta. “This new structure allows us to dedicate more resources to member services, volunteer development, youth leadership and organizational sustainability while continuing to build on the incredible legacy of 4-H in Alberta.”

By streamlining responsibilities and strengthening provincial services, 4-H Alberta intends to provide more consistent, high-quality support to members and volunteers, regardless of where they participate in the province.
Recognizing the People Behind 4-H
4-H Alberta recognizes that organizational change also provides an important opportunity for reflection and gratitude.
For more than a century, staff members, leaders and volunteers have helped create the culture, experiences and sense of community that make 4-H such an important part of Alberta.
“Their passion, commitment and belief in young people have shaped countless lives and built an organization that is respected across Alberta and beyond,” said Gardner. “We are deeply grateful for every staff member, past and present, whose dedication has helped build this remarkable organization.”
Volunteers will continue to play a central role in the success of the 4-H movement. The refreshed structure is intended to provide them with more consistent resources, meaningful training and responsive support as they help young people grow into confident and capable leaders.
