With heavy emphasis on safe working practices in the workshop, members looking to combine creativity with construction will do so through hands-on assembly of projects, measuring and marking out angles, and a firm knowledge of wood science (types of wood, how they react, how they’re treated). Sustainability issues and environmental considerations of the woodworking industry are discussed, as are the entrepreneurial opportunities available to woodworking artisans.
