Discover the future of sustainable farming with HydraGreens!
Join us for a guided tour and workshop at HydraGreens Produce Ltd., where you’ll explore how soilless, vertical farming works here in Calgary. HydraGreens grows fresh, clean, locally produced greens like living lettuce, basil, microgreens, and other herbs using systems that use less water and no pesticides.
During the workshop you’ll:
- Learn the basics of soilless and vertical farming and how plants can grow efficiently in controlled environments.
- See HydraGreens’ growing facility up close and how they produce crisp, flavourful greens year-round.
- Taste some of the fresh produce on-site and take home samples to enjoy later.
- Ask questions and talk with the farmers about plant growth, system design, and the future of local food production.
This session is perfect for curious learners of all ages who want to see how innovative farming techniques are helping create a more sustainable food system in Calgary.
