4-H Alberta is proud to announce Isabella Sweet of Lacombe as the 2026 Premier’s Award recipient, recognizing her exceptional leadership and dedication to 4-H. Alongside this announcement, fourteen new 4-H Alberta Ambassadors were introduced during the 2025 Fall Senior Symposium, celebrating youth leadership, community involvement, and the future of 4-H in Alberta.

Great news for 4-H Alberta! Thanks to the continued support of Federated Co-operatives Limited and 16 local Co-ops, the CO-OP Growing Leaders Program is growing stronger than ever. With over $50,000 invested this year, more than 679 youth have already discovered the fun, friendships, and leadership opportunities that 4-H has to offer since the program began in 2023.

Youth and Flocks Shine at the 14th Annual 4-H Alberta Sheep Show
In a striking demonstration of innovation in science and technology, Mac Dykeman, a 4-H Canada Science Fair finalist from Langley, BC, took home two awards at the renowned 2023 Canada-Wide Science Fair. The fair took place at the Edmonton Convention Centre in Edmonton, Alberta. Dykeman's project, titled 'An Innovative Approach to Ammonia in Poultry Operations', proposed the use of Prussian Blue or Prussian Blue + Biochar as bedding additives in poultry operations for ammonia adsorption. Her exceptional work in this project earned her the Bronze Senior Excellence Award and the Senior Technology in Agriculture Award, complete with a $1000 cash prize.
