Youth Excellence on Display at the 48th Annual 4-H Alberta Beef Heifer Show

Stettler, AB – The 48th Annual Provincial 4-H Beef Heifer Show wrapped up in Stettler with an inspiring showcase of Alberta youth excellence, livestock achievement, and community spirit. From June 27–30, 2025, 80 4-H members aged 9 to 21 from across the province gathered to compete in a full slate of events, including showmanship, multi-judging, grooming, marketing, and conformation.

The annual event highlights the hard work and dedication 4-H members invest in their female beef projects, whether yearling heifers or cow/calf pairs, bringing both commercial and purebred cattle to the ring after months of preparation.

“This show is more than just competition, it’s a celebration of learning, leadership, and livestock excellence,” said organizers. “These youth put in early mornings, long evenings, and endless effort to get here. We are incredibly proud of them.”

Throughout the weekend, members showcased their skills and animals in front of experienced judges and a supportive audience of leaders, volunteers, sponsors, and family members. Special thanks were extended to Conformation Judges Tyler Dietrich and John & Tammy Dolliver for their contributions to the event.
